Colette Brooks was born in Seattle and
studied at Reed College and the Yale 
School of Drama.  Her essays have
appeared in The New Republic, The 
Georgia Review, Southwest Review and
Partisan Review, among others. She lives 
in New York City, where she is at work 
on another book.
